Ferrino Tent Set innovates the tent buying experience with a unique tool that supports configuration and sales on B2B and B2C channels. A new concept of relation is born which allows outdoor lovers to customise their tent, modifying it over time based on their needs.

In this light, Ferrino once again innovates the outdoor market with a new concept based on a 3D configurator designed to support all sales channels.

A DURABLE AND CUSTOMISABLE EXPERIENCE OVER TIME

In terms of customer experience, Tent Set introduces a concept in the outdoor industry, based on product customisation, which has already been tested in other business areas. Customers don’t just buy a tent, they buy their own tent, which can be modified with functional and aesthetic variations in all the main components, including the accessories. You don’t have to buy a new tent for each different need any more. A lasting relationship is created between the user and product, made possible by the 3D configurator which stores the settings of the purchases made, thus making further changes and customisations easier.

FERRINO TENT SET: THE FIRST 3D-CONFIGURABLE TENT

The digital heart of Tent Set is a linear 3D configurator that allows customers to go through the purchasing process in six steps, guided by a simplified interface to make the experience accessible even to less experienced users. A photorealistic rendering technology designed for the web which provides product realism, giving users the possibility to examine the tent from all angles during the configuration phase, letting users select the capacity and customise the outer fly with their logos, texts and graphics.

A B2B AND B2C OMNICHANNEL CONFIGURATOR

The frontend of Ferrino’s Tent Set is available on several channels: from the official Ferrino website to the e-commerce website of the dealers and the retail installations located in shops around the world. The backend management system makes such integration possible specifically enabling the features necessary for its correct operation in different situations.

A careful pre-production phase enabled Ferrino to fully digitise the shopping experience on various channels, significantly optimising the investment for the development of a single tool, fast and easy to update, for all outputs and any further additions.

The digital project followed by Ferrino for the development of Tent Set allowed the Turin-based company to significantly reduce the timing and costs associated with the sale of the tent, as well as achieving the retention of both dealers (B2B) and end-users (B2C).

AN ADDED VALUE FOR DEALERS: SIMPLIFYING SALES IN THE RETAIL CHANNEL
